Things to do and see in Western Nghe An

Just only one-hour flight from Hanoi, Nghe An province is the new destination for investors in the North Central of Vietnam. Currently there are more than 400 expatriates from North America, Europe, Israel, Korea, Thailand, China and Taiwan living in Nghe An. There are good choices of accommodation available for expatriates in the center of Vinh city as well as along Cua Lo town, which is just only 20 minutes from to WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An. To rent a well-equipped two-bedroom apartment in center of Vinh will cost around USD 220 per month.

Nghe An offers a reasonably good living cost at good living conditions. For example, a monthly expense of USD 500 can cover comfortably life with accommodation, meals, commuting and others leisure activities.  Golf, fishing, sightseeing, swimming and footballing are the popular leisure activities among locals and foreigners. Song Lam Nghe An Football Club has always been the strongest team in Vietnam Champion League for many years. There are two famous beaches with white sand not far from Vinh city. Tourist Attractions:

Nghe An is the largest province in Vietnam, located in the North Central Coast region and strategically located in the east-west economic corridor connecting to Laos, Thailand and Myanmar along Highway 7 to Cua Lo port.  Few years to come, Nghe An is expected to be an important destination for a new manufacturing and export base to the global market.  Besides of its strategic business area, Nghe An also has many fascinating tourist attractions with number of 3,577,000 domestic visitors and 92,800 foreign visitors based on the statistics in 2015.

Cua Lo beach

It is recognized as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful beaches by the World Tourism Organisation with its white sand and clear blue water. The grand attraction in this region is Cua Lo beach wide and wind-swept, with many services along its length that cater mostly to the Vietnamese holiday crowd in Summer . You will find some little seafood places on Cua Lo and some good hotels too. The beach is just 16km (10miles) southeast of Vinh. The last Emperor of Vietnam, the " Playboy King'' Bao Dai, had a villa here. Just off the coast, you can see Hon Mat island in the distance, and tiny Lan Chu island can be reached on foot at low tide.

Cua Lo Golf Resort

This stunning resort is a sport and leisure destination consisting of a golf course, beach and hotel.

President Ho Chi Minh Native Homeland

This place is located away from Vinh City with only 30 minutes’ drive.   It is a residence of the President Ho Chi Ming where the tourists are welcomed to visit to understand better about the President’s childhood and history.

Quang Trung King’ Temple

This temple is an attractive destination of tourists which is located on the top of Dung Quyet Mountain to honor the national hero, King Quang Trung.  Entering to the temple, you will find an attractions such as the Tay Son Museum, bird yard, folk games area and traditional craft villages.

Pu Mat National Park

Pumat is one of the preserved National Parks in Vietnam where tourists can enjoy some incredible attractions such as Khe Kem Waterfall, Giang River and etc.

Sao Va  and Bay Tang Waterfalls

It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nghe An with a stunning scenery with breathtaking falls.  Sao Va and Bay Tang Waterfalls are located in Tien Phong and Hanh Dich Communes in the mountainous Que Phong District, Western Nghe An.
